Causes of Chronic Fatigue: At Last, New Ideas for Understanding this Debilitating Disease
Modern day poor health conditions are often associated with fatigue. Specifically, there are now conditions where fatigue is the main symptom of the disease. All of these conditions, regardless of the disease name, have similar symptom patterns. The most common names are fibromyalgia, Sjogren’s Syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), and Gulf War Syndrome.
Chronic fatigue plaques a large percent of the population while a diagnosis of CFS applies to fewer than 2% of the population. These conditions show multiple symptoms and enough different ones need to be present for a diagnosis of CFS. The symptoms experienced by those diagnosed with CFS are more severe and debilitating than those that disturb people with chronic fatigue.
A small percentage of chronic fatigue sufferers are diagnosed with CFS. The symptoms experienced by people with CFS include:
* concentration and memory problems
* concentration and memory problems
* concentration and memory problems
Other symptoms are:
* sleep disturbances
* tender lymph nodes
* psychiatric problems
* feverishness
* sore throats
* psychiatric problems
Due to these complaints, people often face social problems, loss of jobs, and the break-up of marriages. Although these symptoms are often less severe in one with chronic fatigue (no diagnosis), the complications of living with this condition are similar to CFS (diagnosed).
The Causes of Chronic Fatigue are Many and Don’t Allow for a One Cause/One Disease Diagnosis
Chronic fatigue sufferers are vast in number and fatigue is one of the most common complaints that people have. The medical and scientific organizations are unable to determine the causes, yet continue to study the condition to see if they can find a cause.
One interesting new piece of research about Gulf War Syndrome was the notion that vaccines administered to soldiers, such as anthrax, caused the condition. It has been shown that viruses and vaccines induce an immune system response that does not turn off. What follows is a chronic activation of the immune system that’s clinically expressed as the symptoms of CFS.
What’s interesting about this observation is that it supports the arguments of many parents of autistic children that vaccines were a prime factor in the cause of autism. The medical establishment and government, however, have squashed these assertions.
For the reason that no medical diagnosis can be made, it may be time to look at alternatives to the prevailing belief system. It’s not well understood, but there are alternatives to modern medical viewpoints. Although medicine will argue against any attempts to side-step it, there are many other ways to strengthen the immune system and deal with toxic exposures such as vaccines.
It’s well understood that people with chronic fatigue and CFS have an imbalance in their immune system. In some of the immune system functional markers, they show some abnormalities:
* other immune system markers
* other immune system markers
* other immune system markers
Yet, there is no clear link between abnormal immunity and CFS. That’s what makes this whole subject so difficult to define and leads one to realize that only out-of-the-box solutions are workable to help provide relief for those who suffer from chronic fatigue.
